what is the best flavor of wedding cake?

i have been wondering due to the fact i love chocolate but my futre niece is alergic to chocolate and i was wonding if a filling would be good in cakes too if so what kind do you recomond

  4. I loved this almond cake at a friends wedding. It was almond, with cream cheese icing and shaved almonds between the layers. It was still all white.

    But there is only one kind of cake I like, Red Velvet (with cream cheese).

    It's great. And that's coming from someone who won't eat cake.

  9. My chosen cake flavor is called fuzzy navel. It has a light peach flavor with a little bit of alcohol to it. The filling will be the same as the frosting which is the cream cheese frosting. I tasted lots of flavors and this by far had the most original, fresh taste of the bunch. I agree with one of the other responses to get your niece a small cake of her own or have the caterer prepare an alternative dessert for those who do not care for chocolate. My caterer is going to prepare a kind of apple tart cobbler thing because I know some of my family and his do not like cake of any flavor.
  10. Traditional wedding cakes are white cake. marble is good too. I wouldn't go with chocolate or marble seeing your niece is allergic to it.and, they may be others also. I know it's an important day for you and you love chocolate, but being considerate of the guests who attend your wedding is also important.Besides, you can have chocolate cake any day out of the year.   11. Publix makes the best wedding cake with raspberry filling. they will give you a nice size sample for free, call them and then you pick it up a couple hours later
