Can you guys give an easy recipe for chocolate cake?

- yep duncan hines ...add eggs. vegetable oil, and water. That's how i make my cake lol
- Well, the easiest would be buy a box and follow their directions. Probably add some water or an egg and enjoy in a few minutes.
- go to www.foodtv.com and look up easy choc. cake that is the best
- I have to agree with the other 3 just go buy one from a box it's quick and easy, Unless you like baking then go for the home made, There are lot's of websites, I like kraft.com not sure if they have a chocolate cake recipe or not.
- You could always buy the cake mix at your local grocery store and just add the few ingredients listed on the box.

Chocolate Cake
Prep Time: 10 Minutes
Cook Time: 40 Minutes
Ready In: 50 Minutes
Yields: 48 servings
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup butter
2 cups white sugar
2 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup water
DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). If using layers, grease and line the pans with parchment paper. If using a 9 X 13 pan, grease and dust with cocoa powder. Sift together the cocoa, flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time. Alternately beat in the flour mixture and the buttermilk, mixing just until incorporated. Add the boiling water and beat for one full minute.
3. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool.

- if you go to the Wilton Industries web site go to the recipe box they have recipes for many cakes and easy to do as well. i make them all the time
- i dont know about chocolate cake but i know an easy chocolate pie recipe...buy a graham cracker pie crust(i buy reduced fat..tastes the same)... then buy some instant jello sugar-free choc.puding(or reg.)..follow directions on box...then pour it in crust, place in fridge bout 5-10 min...cover with whip cream(i get fat free,it taste the same too)..then add coconut, chocolate shavings, sprinkles, etc...whatever you like....and you dont have to feel guilty over eating it and it tastes awesome...and very cheap!!!!
- Moist Chocolate Cake
Ingredients
160g butter
160g dark chocolate
110ml warm water
1 tbsp golden syrup
190g plain flour
10g cocoa powder
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp bicarbonate of soda
90g Nestle reduced cream
180g dark soft brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
3 eggs, lightly beaten
1 tbsp corn oil
40g walnuts, coarsely chopped
Method
Grease and line a 20 cm round cake tin with greaseproof paper.
Melt butter, golden syrup, chocolate and warm water over a pan of simmering water. Cool slightly. Preheat oven to 170°C.
Put sifted dry ingredients into a large mixing bowl and stir in sugar, Nestle cream, vanilla essence, beaten eggs and oil to mix. Gradually pour in the chocolate mixture. Mix well with a wooden spoon. Fold in the chopped walnuts.
Turn batter into prepared cake tin and bake for about 40-50 minutes or until skewer inserted into the centre of the cake comes out clean.
Chocolate Cake
Ingredients
100g dark cooking chocolate
200g butter
125g castor sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
4 eggs, separated
60ml UHT milk
125g self-raising flour, sifted
25g ground almonds
Method
Grease and line a loaf tin (25cm x 12cm). Preheat oven to 170 ºC.
Put chocolate in a double-boiler bowl. Place over simmering hot water to melt the chocolate. Leave aside to cool slightly.
Beat butter, sugar and essence until light and creamy. Beat in egg yolks one at a time.
Stir in milk and add in melted chocolate gradually. Beat well to combine. Fold in sifted flour and stir in ground almonds.
Whisk egg whites until stiff. Carefully fold into the butter mixture in batches and mix well to blend.
Turn mixture out onto the prepared tin. Level out evenly and bake for 60 to 75 minutes or until cake is cooked through when tested with a skewer.
Leave cake to cool slightly in the tin before turning out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
- MAYONNAISE CHOCOLATE CAKE
3 cups flour; unbleached, sifted
3 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 cups mayonnaise or salad dressing
1 1/2 cups cold water
1/3 cup cocoa; baking
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
FLUFFY CHOCOLATE FROSTING:
1 cup brown sugar; packed
3 tbsp butter or regular margarine
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
3 tbsp half and half or light cream
1/3 cup chocolate chips; semisweet
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 13x9x2-inch baking pan.
Sift together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; set aside.
Combine mayonnaise and sugar in a mixing bowl. Beat with electric mixer at medium speed until blended.
Gradually beat in cold water and vanilla. Add dry ingredients to mayonnaise mixture, beating until well blended, about 2 minutes. Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake in preheated 350 degree F. oven 40 minutes or until cake tests done. Cool in pan on rack.
Frost with Fluffy Chocolate Frosting. Cut in squares.
FLUFFY CHOCOLATE FROSTING:
Combine brown sugar, light cream, and butter in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil. Boil 1 minute.
Remove from heat. Stir in chocolate chips and vanilla. Beat with electric mixer at high speed until of a spreading consistency.
