How can I make a cake VERY moist?

I'm making a cake from a Betty Crocker cake mix and I want to make sure it's REALLY REALLY moist. Any suggestions? I'm looking for something the texture of the chocolate molton dessert at Chili's. I know I won't get the same thing from a cake mix, but I would like to try. It's just for me because I'm pg and craving moist chocolate cake. :) Thanks!

  1. use a tiny bit more veggie oil than they call for and use smaller eggs or one less egg than it calls for. This will make it much more moist. You can also try swirling in some hot fudge with the batter. This is very delicious!
  2. add jello pudding mix
  3. Try adding some instant chocolate pudding, and then undercook the cake by several minutes. Also, frost it immediately after removing it from the oven, and poke holes in it first so the frosting drenches it! Good luck with it all.
  4. 1/2 cup rolled oats
    1 cup boiling water
    1/2 cup margarine

    1 1/2 cups brown sugar

    1 cup flour
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    Without cooling, add marge& cocoa.
Mix well, add brown sugar& eggs.
    Beat with a wire whisk.

Hope you enjoy my recipe ^_^
  5. pee on it.
  6. I own a bakery and we use applesouce instead of oil. Pudding works as well, but the applesauce is the best.
  7. Well there is a mix you can buy to recreate that same dessert. Seen it on the supermarket shelves next to the cake mixes not sure who (brand) makes it. Haven't seen a recipe to make it from scratch. the only cake I know that comes close is "Tunnel of Fudge" a Pillsbury bakeoff recipe winner.
  8. undercook it a little thats what i do.
  9. put jello choc pudding mix in the cake mix. it always make for a moist cake. and use just a little ex oil.
  10. add 2 tbsps instant pudding mix to a cake mix...1/2 cupwater....use vanilla it works with all cakes
  11. add oil..........Leave out some of the water or liquid and replace it with cooking oil............any kind..................about half a cup.........I use to just pour it in and it will be real moist
  12. I like apple sauce
  13. Undercook it a little add a little extra milk
  14. I always add a little oil, about 1/4 cup, or like the other person said, add pudding mix, makes a really good bunht cake. Yum. I always use Duncan Hines cake mix.
  15. I always use a little extra oil and add a box of pudding mix in addition to what is already in the mix. If you take it out just before it's done it should have that moist goopy center. But just done is very moist.
  16. use equal parts cream and chocolate chips. boil the cream and add to the chocolate chips. mix until it forms a smooth constancy with no chucks. spread out in a dish and refrigerate. use a small scooper and make balls about 1/2in around. mix the cake mix and scoop out into muffin pans and put 1 ball in each. push into the center and bake as for cupcakes. quick and easy molten cakes. AND you can freeze them before you are ready to bake and make a couple at a time.
  17. Use applesauce instead of oil. It is suppose to be healthier also. Sam
  18. Instead of using oil, use butter........
