- Yes you can, the only thing is have in mind that baking times might vary a little, so keep a closer eye to the cake.
- I don't see why it shouldn't work. When it comes to baking times, I'd monitor it fairly closely and don't forget to use a toothpick to check for doneness. :)
Good luck and happy birthday to your grandmother!! :D
- I believe you can, but you might want to ask someone else......
- Yes you can. Just remember to coat the bunt pan well with a cooking spray so it don't stick. Also your cooking time will probably increase. Also don't use a toothpick to check for being done. You'll need something longer like a bamboo skewer since the cake will be thicker.
- You can make any cake in a bunt pan...the only difference is the shape of the pan. You may have to adjust your cooking time a hare. Reference other recipes you may have around that utilize a bunt pan and start from there where cooking times are concerned.
- It's just a pan you can put whatever type of cake you want into it
- Yes you can bake the cake in the bundt pan.
I bake every cake in a bundt pan except for the fresh coconut cake-is the one that is so moist it's pure juicy mush-yet the cake is intact...now the bundt cake baking.
I make lots of different kinda cakes for holiday's & birthday. I specialize in pound cake-every kind one could imagine.I don't sell them-just use as gifts.
I have discovered every type cake baked in a bundt pan is perfect w/moist results at 300 degrees. You can tell by the doneness - with sliding a long skinny type knife all way through cake in very middle,it'll come out clean if done. If not-check same way in 15 minutes. Most bundt cake recipes call for temp at 325, but mine were too dry so putting it in pre heated oven at 300 is fabulously perfect. When I do the orange slice cake-orange slice candy, dates & pecans, it takes about 2 hours.
Baking any cake I add vanilla AND almond flavoring.
To give your bundt cake the "southern living" type display-let it cool on a rack of some kind for 20-30 minutes, take 2 big plates-the one U want to serve your cake on is used last. Fit the plate on top of bundt pan, w/oven mitts hold it tight & flip over-now the pretty part is on the bottom of this plate, take the display-serving plate & easily place over cake again & flip it so the crusty baked side is showing.
I do have a gooey chocolate icing recipe that is cooked like fudge & many people around here call me for it. If you'd like to have it, send me a request at my yahoo extra box my addy there is emptybox.uusa.com

- Yes you can but, remember bundt pans are made for heavier cakes. So to prevent a heavy, dry cake add a 1/4 c applesauce to the batter and it will turn out beautiful. Remember to oil the pan and coat with flour before pouring in the batter or you'll end up with a puzzle.
